WaterWave ("we", "our", or "us") operates the WaterWave platform — a SaaS delivery management system for water can distributors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our platform.

By using WaterWave, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Phone numbers: Used for authentication (OTP login) and account identity. We do not share your phone number with third parties for marketing.
Business information: Plant/distributor name, location, and operational data entered by admins.
Delivery data: Order details, delivery addresses, can counts, and rider assignments — all entered by you or your team.
Usage data: Login timestamps, app interaction logs, and error reports used to improve the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

To authenticate users via OTP (powered by Firebase Authentication)
To store and synchronise operational data across your team in real time
To calculate earnings, inventory balances, and delivery history
To send platform notifications relevant to your operations
To improve the platform and diagnose technical issues

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Data Storage & Infrastructure

WaterWave is built on Google Firebase (Firestore, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Hosting). Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. Firebase may store data on servers located outside India depending on your region configuration.

We use Firestore Security Rules to ensure each distributor can only access their own plant data. Rider and buyer data is isolated per plant.

4. Third-Party Services

Google Firebase: Authentication, database, and hosting. Governed by Google Privacy Policy.
WhatsApp (Meta): Used for demo requests and customer support. Governed by WhatsApp Privacy Policy. WaterWave does not access your WhatsApp messages.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, you may request deletion of your data by contacting us. We will delete or anonymise your data within 30 days of a valid deletion request.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Data portability (export of your business data)

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

Firestore Security Rules enforcing per-tenant data isolation
OTP-based authentication (no passwords stored)
HTTPS-only access via Firebase Hosting
Regular security rule audits

8. Children's Privacy

WaterWave is a B2B platform intended for use by business owners and their employees. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under the age of 18.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify active users of material changes via the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
